Claudia Zuber’s Fall/Winter 2012 collection is defined by laid-back sobriety, fusing rigorous shapes with sophisticated and soft materials. Her typically puristic style with a colour palette dominated by grays is complemented by an airy and animated impression. The use of hand-coloured silk for example bestows an effortless urban liveliness to her otherwise discreet dresses. Even everyday pieces such as the parka bring the distinctive duality between aloof formality and comfortable casualness concisely to the point. The collection is completed by delicate, porous knitwear creating subtle effects of transparency in interplay with subjacent layers.
Claudia Zuber founded her own label in 2009 after graduating with a BA in Fashiondesign at HGK Basel and internships with Doo.ri and Kai Kühne in New York. Her collections have been nominated for Swiss Federal Design Award and Lily Award and are available at Vestibule in Zurich and Set<and/>Sekt in Basel.
